The blue ground is considerably darker than typical blue Nailsea fairy lamps. Unfortunately, I do not have a shade that matches the base. I had a dark blue variant at one time, but sold it. (Note to self: Do not sell any of your children.) The shade / dome is decorated with the Prunus pattern while the base is decorated with the Ivy pattern. Both pieces are very nice by themselves, but would probable best be suited to find the matching pieces for each. With a Burmese candle cup and Ivy painted dome, it would be a great piece with the acid signature on the bottom. Then you could look for a base with the Prunus design, or a pottery base which would suit the dome nicely. One thing that caught my eye is that on the shade, in the center of each diamond, is a dot. However, the base doesn’t have the same decoration. I’m sure the air trap design was planed that way on the shade, as that would take quite a bit of extra work to get that to occur. The artisan that did the work did miss several diamonds when placing the dot.
