This base, even though chipped, went for a good price. Can you, however, recognise what what it is?

Cool!! I think you got a good buy! The base is shown in R-14 and R-15. But, I think it is a great stand-alone base just the way it is.

Jim.

P.S. I would send a note to the seller to see if he has the companion stand and posey holders. If they are separated, he may not realize that they go together. You just may get lucky.

Good Idea! I will write and ask. I did notice the eperne in the Ruff book (I always try to reference your website or one of my books to identify things before I buy them). I just love the Taylor & Tunnicliff bases and was happy to see one come up (that I could almost afford thanks to the little chip).

Thanks for the nice moose pics and fabulous news letter. It was exciting to see our butterscotch lamp in the undocumented lamps.

Thanks for correcting the maker (and saving me the faux pas)! I wrote the seller about the fixture, but they only had the one base. It arrived and is so lovely in real life it is hard to describe. There is a rich iridescences to it and a bit of gold and pink. I paired it with a victorian Burmese shade. Wow, it looks amazing! It matches so well, I have to think the designer had Burmese glass in mind when designing this base.

Considering that Clarke's ads for the T&T bases all had Burmese shades, I suspect you are correct.

You will also see from this ad that the bases were marketed as a stand alone version (models 281 - 282) and as part of a menu holder with posey holders (models 286 - 287).

You got a great buy!! Congratulations!

Jim.
