Early Auction Empty Early Auction

Post by cadking Fri Mar 30, 2012 6:33 pm

Early Auction Company has their Art Glass Auction on April 6th and 7th. There is a Fairy Lamp listed as item number 611 on page 75 of the catalog. The base is one I have seen before, but the shade is something that I have not seen.

I think it is an oil lamp shade.

To me, however, the more puzzeling question is "How do you get that kind of cameo coloration on Burmese? Or, is the glass not Burmese at all.

Just reviewing the auction and noticed that the lamp above had a selling price of $1250.00 while the Pairpoint on a wooden base only sold for $400.00. The Pairpoint had an estimate of $800 – 1200, so someone got a good deal.
