repairing cracks?

Post by Lynne Montavon on Wed Sep 12, 2012 7:23 pm

Hi, I'm new to the forum though I've been buying fairy lamps since the early 70's when I worked in a place one summer which sold Viking lamps. Anyway, anyone have anything to say about repairing (or having someone repair) cracks? Thank you in advance and I'm thrilled to find this site. Lynne

Hi Lynne, welcome to the forum.

I have not tried to repair a cracked fairy lamp but I have used Super Glue to help stabilize a crack in class. It does not hide the crack but it may keep it from getting worse. That said I would not burn a candle in a cracked fairy lamp or even an antique fairy lamp. Use a LED battery light instead.
