Cat figural - Base or no base? Empty Cat figural - Base or no base?

Post by Admin Sat Oct 13, 2012 3:12 pm

About a week ago this figural candle lamp sold on eBay. The winner of the auction contacted me to see if I thought it originally had a base. And, if so, what might it have looked like?

Personally, I think it may have had a base but, I have no idea what it may have looked like. Anyone have an opinion on this figural? Or, perhaps some factual information?

Earlier this year, a very similar bisque shade sold on ebay that was a girl's head rather than a cat. It had similar proportions and oval bottom opening. I expect they were made by the same company.

I believe these would have originally had conforming bisque bases.
