HURRAY FOR HOLLYWOOD!...
Imagine my surprise last evening as I was watching the dvd of the 2013 film version of "The Great Gatsby" starring Leonardo DiCaprio, to see a scene showing A PAIR OF CLARKE CRICKLITE DOUBLE FAIRY LAMP CANDELABRA on Daisy & Tom's diningroom table!
They had cut glass standards with brass arm & ring mounts, holding clear fairy size cups and clear "pear-shaped" Cricklite shades. I believe I saw the brass rim on the bottom of the shades. The lamps had candles in them, but they were not lighted.
If you want to check it out, the scene appears approximately between 1 hour 28 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes into the film. A couple of the shots are rather close-up.
Do you know of any other appearances of Victorian Fairy Lamps in movies? If so, please post them here!
Thanks,
Jno

Re: HURRAY FOR HOLLYWOOD!...
Hello again,
I put the dvd in the computer to see if I could save a screen shot image from the movie to post here, but I wasn't able to do it. At the computer, I was able to get a very good look at the Cricklites. There is a good close-up of lamps/arms/& much of the standard at 1:28:22. The shades definitely have their original brass banding around the lower rim.
