Fairy Lamp? Or....something else?

I thought I would bring this auction up for discussion. Any thoughts?

I looked at that shade and although it didn't appeal to me, I would have liked a better picture of the whole bottom. Thought maybe it was a shade for a lamp, where you tighten a couple of screws to hold it in place. Don't know, just my thought. Diana

I have asked for a photo of just the side view of the shade without the base, but nothing so far.

I also asked for a photo and the diamter. The photo was not very helpful but the seller indicated the "fitter" diameter was 2 inches.

The seller had this photo in their auction which may help a little. What the seller describes as "badly worn gilt" looks like screw marks to me.


It a nice shade but probably for a mini lamp.

The photo that was sent to me didn't help either, but I do think that it is a Mini Oil Lamp shade also. Take a look at the photo I got.
