Recent Cameo Shade Sale

There was a great three color cameo shade sold recently. The price was what I would say was top end with the 23% buyers premium added in. If the buyer of the shade has a matching base, then it was money well spent. If it will be displayed as a single shade, it will be lovely. I was watching the shade with interest as I have a miniature oil lamp base that matches the dome. With a chimney rest, the chimney would protrude through the top hole without any problem. The base is similar to Marjorie Hulsebus first book photo H1-442. This lamp sold for $14,000.00 when it was offered. In retrospect, I should have bid on it. It would have been a spectacular lamp.
