A Match made in ….

This Burmese lamp is composed from two different lamps. The shade / dome is decorated with the Prunus pattern while the base is decorated with the Ivy pattern. Both pieces are very nice by themselves, but would probable best be suited to find the matching pieces for each. With a Burmese candle cup and Ivy painted dome, it would be a great piece with the acid signature on the bottom. Then you could look for a base with the Prunus design, or a pottery base which would suit the dome nicely.

I would dearly love to be able to bid on this lamp. But, I am afraid it will go far beyond my reach. Hmmm.....perhaps it is not to late to get it funded through the "spending bill". Oops, sorry. Didn't mean to reveal my political persuasion.
