I just returned from a trip to China and Tibet.  I saw no glass (except for fake jade) nor did I expect to.  However, in the Forbidden City I saw a most unusual chandelier.  I suspect it may have been a gift to one of the more recent Dynasties.  It appears to be Bohemian in origin and it sets a new standard for "gaudy."
