Trade cards? Empty Trade cards?

Post by jnopoinsett Mon Oct 06, 2014 1:10 pm

With Samuel Clarke's penchant for advertising and having his name on almost everything, I have been wondering...Are there Victorian trade cards advertising Fairy Lamps?  The golden age of fairy lamps was at the height of the popularity of trade cards, so it would make sense that they exist.  Has anyone seen one or own any?
Thanks,
Jno

Could it be that the Trade Card phenomenon was only in the U.S. and they weren't popular in the U.K.??? I do not know.
