This is a Veilleuse...sans teapot. Many of our Fairy Lamp Club members have several in their collections since they "burn candles" and many contain Lithophanes in their side panels. If you want to know more about them there is no finer collection than the Teapot Museum in Trenton, Tennessee.....recognized as the World's Largest Collection of Porcelain Veilleuse-Theieres. Jim, thank you so much for the response. We learn something every day. I was familiar with the round and square shaped tea pot warmers that had lithophanes, but finding out that this eBay item had to do with teapots was an eye opener. Some beautiful pieces of porcelain certainly are on display at the teapot museum. John
