Trying to get a picture

But as of right now I dont have one.

Found the base to a fairy lamp that is unlike any I have ever seen.

It is a deep purple, very light (weight wise), and has itty bitty dots covering the entire base. On the bottem, there are itty bitty dots that create a star. The edges where the top would go are mostly chipped, but pointy anyways. There seems to be a bit o a seam on the inside but only on one side. And the top of the lamp would sit in a ridge that runs around the top, and apparantly is also very thin.

I know it is hard to describe and you need a pic-I will work on this. The lamp is very old, doesnt represent anything that is made today, and I dont even think a repro would be made this thin and fragile...

As i said the bottom(around it) is covered with little sharp dots, it is very light, and dots make up a star on the bottom o it as well

Hmmm....I am stumped. I do not know what that piece is.

Depending on the scale, I'm leaning toward it being a sauce dish or a master salt.....?....

No, it is Fairy Lamp size. If not a FL, then why would it have the ring around the top for the lid? It is shaped like a FL, the glass just seems lighter (weight)

The closest I can come to your cup is this one from Indiana Glass. It is not the same as yours but the concept might be similar.

I finally found it! jnopoinsett is correct. It appears to be a master salt.
