Rookie Fairy Light Collector
Hello all & thank you so much for the club, for the website and for this forum. I am a new club member living in South Carolina. While I have admired fairy lights from afar for many years I have only recently begun to collect them. I don't know what took me so long, but now that I've decided to collect them I find I am quite ignorant. Try not to laugh (but go right ahead and let yourself feel a bit superior) when I ask some of the questions that I will be coming up with.
Again, thank you; I look forward many evenings with the "glow of yesteryear"!

Re: Rookie Fairy Light Collector
Welcome to the Forum ParRat. I am pleased you have joined us.
I doubt that anyone here would feel superior. We all started at the same point you are. For me, I started in 1971 with a blue diamond point pyramid and I still have it. There are many I would part with before I let that one go. That is the best part about collecting fairy lamps......just when you think you have seen it all, something shows up that you have never seen before. And, I am continually learning about my collection.
So, don't hesitate to ask questions.....we are all eager to help you along the way to building your collection. In return, you will likely do the same for others when the time comes.
Happy hunting.....and don't forget to share your finds with us.
Jim.
