Newbie Collector
Hi, my name is Rachelle (lady Ruger) and my husband and I have started collecting Hanging Victorian Jeweled Fairy Lamps. Have not had much luck in finding out about the two we have so far, so I hope somebody can help us in this interesting new hobby!
We live in Utah and have been married 14 years.

Re: Newbie Collector
There is not much information on the hanging jeweled lamps. However, one of our members is also an avid collector of this type of lamp and may be able to assist you. It would be very helpful if you could provide a photo of you collection.

Thank you!
I tried to get them on this reply, but not sure what went wrong. They did manage to get loaded on to the Personal Photo section so if you know how to move them it would be great! (Thanks)

Thanks!
Just trying to find out ANYTHING on these! No makers marks, and so far have not found out anything. We use Miniature Oil Lamps in them instead of candles, they get lit just about every night!

Re: Newbie Collector
Rachelle,
As I mentioned, we know very little about these jeweled brass lamps. However, I have gone through prior newsletters and extracted all the articles written about them. The articles have no information related to your example, but it may provide a little background information of how they may have been used.
In addition, at the end of the articles, I have put additional designs of jeweled brass lamps. These will provide you an appreciation of the diversity of designs. It is clear, to me anyway, that a single manufacturer is not responsible for all these designs and the time period of production is likely to be pretty broad.
The article is at: http://www.fairy-lamp.com/Fairylamp/Jewelled_Brass_Lamps.pdf
Best wishes in developing your collection.

Re: Newbie Collector
Jim, Thank you so much for doing that!
We appreciate it!
I joined the Fairy Lamp FB group last night!
It is such a shame that there is so little known on these beautiful lamps!
